The Vennie summer programme went exceptionally well. We were able to offer curriculum for excellence at the Vennie sessions as well as outings and activities. Some of the outings included: Dalhousie Castle Birds of prey (see below), Summerlee industrial Museum, the Museum of Scotland, The Scottish Mining Museum, several trips to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as outings to several country parks. We ran themed weeks so the children had a variety of entertainment e.g. science week, nature week, health week etc. We had over 1600 visits to the Vennie over the 7 week period of summer programme.
